View two similar texts (such as different editions of the same work) side by side and see a diff (i.e. the differences between the two texts)

So That

I can see the similarities and differences between the two texts. Several views should be provided:

• A plain side by side view
• A diff side by side view (as in e.g. moinmoin)

Notes

• This should be implemented in the graphical web interface
• Users should be able to choose any two texts to compare (of course this may lead to rather nonsensical outcomes if the texts are not related but this relatedness should *not* be enforced by the system)
• Extension to more than two texts would be useful but is not required as part of this use case

Side by side view was done 2+ years ago and refactored into multi-views in ticket:47! Diff in new ticket:67 (and dubious of its value atm)
